INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): The American Red Cross announced its new free flood app which gives iPhone, iPad, and Android users instant access to local and real-time information to help reduce losses from floods and flash floods. The system will alert users of NOAA flood watches and warnings, even if the app is closed. Other features include recovery resources and a disaster toolkit. It'll be released sometime this week as part of National Flood Safety Awareness Week.
