Angola Man Allegedly Shoots Dog, Then Shoots at Police

CORUNNA, Ind. (WOWO): An alleged home invader from Angola is in custody after allegedly shooting at a Kendallville officer during a break-in.

22 year old Tyler Gaiski is also accused of killing a dog during the robbery attempt at a rural home south of Corunna Tuesday evening.

A Kendallvillle officer, who lives in a neighboring home, allegedly found Gaiski sitting in a car at the home. When he ordered Gaiski to raise his hands, Gaiski instead raised a gun and fired at the officer. Gaiski then took off in the car and eventually flipped his vehicle near West County Line and Mapes Roads. Gaiski was then taken into custody without incident once K9 officers caught up to him.

He's charged with attempted murder and torturing an animal and is being held without bond.
