FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): An Angola man has been identified as the victim of a fatal and fiery wreck in Fort Wayne last week.

40 year old Nelson Hyatt was driving a pickup on southbound I-69 near the Union Chapel Road exit Thursday evening. 

His truck collided with a semi and caught fire. Hyatt was pronounced dead at the scene once firefighters put out the blaze. 

The Allen County Coroner's Office says that Hyatt died of blunt force trauma.  Hyatt's death is the 19th traffic fatality this year in Allen County. 

Long delays were reported as a result of the accident Thursday.
