Angola Officer Attacked by Burglary Suspect

An Angola police officer was attacked early this morning as he attempted to arrest a burglary suspect.

The incident happened around 2:00 a.m. this morning. Officers from the Angola City Police Department say that Deputy William Lanoue suffered facial injuries after a confrontation with 26-year old Tyler Osborn.

Deputy Lanoue was treated at a local hospital and released.

Osborn was later arrested by a state police trooper.  He’s charged with burglary, battery to an officer and resisting arrest.

Osborn is accused of breaking into the Marathon gas station on North Wayne Street.
