Bank Robbery at First Federal Savings on Southwest Side

(Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Fort Wayne Police are currently responding to an armed robbery at First Federal Savings Bank located on the Southwest side of town.

Police were alerted to the robbery in the 5300 block of Southbend Drive just after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

We have a crew on the way and will update this story as details are released.

Scanner traffic suggests that the robbery suspect(s) left in a light or silver newer-model Trailblazer with its right rear tail light out. The suspect(s) is believed to be armed with a weapon.

Police request that citizens do not approach the vehicle or suspect(s) and should call police and 427-1222.

No injures have been reported at this time.
