Bisard Transferred to Prison

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (AP): A former Indianapolis police officer who killed a man and seriously injured two other people while driving drunk in his police cruiser is now in prison.

WRTV-TV reports David Bisard was transferred Wednesday to the Indiana Department of Correction's Reception Diagnostic Center in Plainfield.

The center evaluates inmates to determine where they should serve their sentences.

Bisard's trial was moved to Fort Wayne in October after media attention surrounding the trial.
