Body found in White River Slough Identified as 15-Year-Old Boy

WILLIAMS, Ind. (AP): Authorities say a 15-year-old boy has been identified as the person found dead in the White River Slough in southern Indiana.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said in a news release Sunday that the boy was identified as Graden McFarlan of Bedford.

The department says the boy's body was found in the water by a fisherman around 11 a.m. Saturday near Williams, about 30 miles south of Bloomington. His body was later recovered.

The Lawrence County Coroner's Office is scheduled to conduct an autopsy Monday.
