FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Hundreds of defense jobs are leaving Fort Wayne.

In meetings Wednesday, Harris Corporation revealed about 360 jobs will be shifted from the city over the next year. Harris purchased Exelis earlier this year.

Company spokesman Tim White reports says the jobs will be in SINCGARs combat radio production at a state-of-the art facility in Rochester, New York.

White says workers will have opportunities in the company in Rochester, Fort Wayne and other parts of the country and the move is not a reflection of the local work force.

More than 500 workers other workers remain in Fort Wayne.
