Charges Filed Against Ossian Man for Double-Fatal Crash

WELLS COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Charges have been filed against a 19-year-old Ossian man, for a double-fatal crash. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, Andrew Serafini has been charged with two counts of reckless homicide after police say he was intoxicated when he crashed his vehicle last month.

According to the Wells County Sheriff's Department, 18-year-old Johnny Kidwell of Ossian and 17-year-old James McCune of Markle were killed in the crash.

According to police, Serafini was traveling west on Wells County Road 900 North near Markle when the vehicle started to hydroplane from water in the road.  Serafini attempted to over-correct and crashed into a tree.

19-year old Abigail Harris of Ossian, a passenger in the vehicle, was also injured.

McCune and Kidwell were students at Norwell High School.
