FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A child was shot this morning on Fort Wayne’s southeast side.

Our partners in news at 21Alive report the child was walking a dog at about 11:30 this morning near the intersection of Richfield Lane and Chadwick Drive, a few blocks southwest of Paul Harding Jr. High School, when someone drove by and opened fire.

The victim has been taken to a Fort Wayne hospital, and is in serious condition.
