FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Citilink has announced an extension of its Free Fare Saturdays through December 27, allowing riders to travel at no cost on all fixed-route buses and Access paratransit services.

According to Citilink, Anthem will sponsor the Free Fare Saturday on December 20, while Ambassador Enterprises will sponsor the extended free fare date on December 27.

Citilink officials say the program is designed to improve access to transportation during the holiday season, particularly for work, shopping, and seasonal events.

In addition to the free fare program, Citilink will operate a Holiday Shuttle providing nonstop service between Central Station, Northcrest Shopping Center, and Glenbrook Mall. The Holiday Shuttle, sponsored by Bowen Health, will run on December 19 and December 20.

Riders using Citilink Access paratransit services are required to schedule trips in advance. Reservations must be made by 5 p.m. the day before travel using the Citilink Access app or by calling 260-432-4546.

Citilink says the extended free fare program applies only to Saturdays and includes all fixed routes and Access services.
