FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – Community Harvest Food Bank has received a $5,000 grant from the St. Joseph Community Health Foundation to support programs including Hope for Heroes, Kids Backpack, SeniorPak and Community Cupboard.

President and CEO Carmen Cumberland says the longtime partnership helps serve thousands of families in need.

Officials say the funding comes at a critical time as demand for food assistance across the community continues to remain high.
