SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) _ A New York couple has donated $20 million to the University of Notre Dame to endow a new Institute for Global Investing.
The university says the institute will seek to study and influence the way investment managers around the world think about global finance. The institute's goals include expanding internship and career placement opportunities, furthering faculty research and attracting prospective finance faculty.
The donation was made by Dr. Carrie Quinn and James Parsons, who are 1996 graduates of the university. Quinn is an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital. Parsons is founder and portfolio manager for Junto Capital Management in New York City.
