Disparate Leaders Agree ISTEP Answers Needed

INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Indiana Statehouse leaders want some answers about why the provider of the state’s high-stakes ISTEP+ exam ran into trouble administering the online portion of the test. A legislative panel studying why 78,000 students were frozen out of the test will meet Friday to hear from CTB/McGraw-Hill President Ellen Haley. Schools Superintendent Glenda Ritz also plans an outside review to determine the validity of the test results. That could be completed within a month.
