Driver In Life-Threatening Condition After Fiery Rollover Crash In Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WOWO) — A driver was critically injured Friday afternoon following a fiery rollover crash on Johnson Road, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities say the crash occurred around 2:35 p.m. in the 9800 block of Johnson Road between West Dupont and West Wallen roads.

Investigators say a vehicle traveling northbound on Johnson Road left the east side of the roadway, struck multiple trees, and rolled over.

Police say the driver was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The vehicle later caught fire.

Emergency responders transported the driver to a local hospital in life-threatening condition.

Officials have closed Johnson Road between West Dupont and West Wallen roads as crews continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
