TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) – A driver whose blood-alcohol content tested at nearly seven times the legal limit was jailed after crashing his pickup truck into another in a highway lane closed for construction.

Indiana State Police Sgt. Joe Watts says 63-year-old Stephen Harrold of West Terre Haute faces two counts each of injuring a highway worker and driving while intoxicated following the crash about 8:45 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 70 in Terre Haute.
 
Watts says a preliminary test showed Harrold's blood-alcohol level was 0.54 percent. The legal limit is 0.08 percent.
 
Watts says Harrold's truck struck a pickup carrying two workers for a highway contractor. One was treated and released at a hospital and the other sought medical treatment on his own.

It's not clear if Harrold has an attorney.
