NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO): The East Allen County school board gave the green-light to a $2 million dollar maintenance bond Tuesday. Essentially, a loan, the money will be repaid through 2017.
School officials say the money will go for a 15 improvement projects at eight buildings including $650 thousand dollars in boiler work at Leo High School, roofing at New Haven Immediate and Elementary schools. A fire alarm system at New Haven Middle School is among the to-do list.
The loan won’t top five percent, and be as low as one percent. The measure passed by a 4-to-2 vote.
