Election 2016: Searches for John Kasich and national security increase after Thursday’s debate

(WOWO): As the race to the White House is getting tighter and more presidential hopefuls are dropping out, people are taking to Google and social media to learn more about the candidates and key issues.

In the past 24 hours, Google searches jumped for all GOP hopefuls, most likely because of the debate Thursday night. John Kasich had the biggest hike.

Conversations on Twitter are focusing on national security, foreign affairs and the U.S. economy.
