Emergency Services Respond to Early Morning Kendallville Crash

Kendallville, IN. (WOWO) Police and emergency services responded at about  3:34 a.m. today ., to a crash on State Road 8 near County Road 7 in Kendallville involved a stalled Lexus and a Volkswagen Passat.

According to Deputy T. Walden of the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, a 41-year-old male driver reported that his 2007 Lexus ES 350 stalled in the eastbound lane and could not be moved. A 44-year-old male driver in a 2012 Volkswagen Passat was traveling eastbound when he saw the disabled vehicle and attempted to avoid a collision.

The Volkswagen struck the stalled Lexus, causing the first driver to be thrown approximately 100 feet. He sustained a significant facial laceration and other unknown injuries. Emergency Medical Services transported him to Parkview Regional Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. The second driver reported no injuries.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage. No passengers or pedestrians were involved in the crash.
