MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) – The former president of the Muncie chapter of the NAACP faces up to six years in prison after pleading guilty to dealing in cocaine.

The (Muncie) Star Press reports under a plea agreement entered Monday two other charges against 50-year-old Timothy Miles would be dismissed. Delaware Circuit Judge Linda Ralu Wolf took the plea deal under advisement and tentatively set sentencing for Oct. 13.

Miles, who most recently lived in Pulaski, Tennessee, resigned from the NAACP post after his April 2015 arrest. He also was suspended from his job as assistant director of the city’s transit system after his arrest. According to court documents, Miles told deputies he routinely bought cocaine for $1,250 an ounce and sold it for twice that amount.
