CHICAGO (WOWO): A U.S. District Court Judge has denied an appeal filed by a proposed adult night club in Angola.

In the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, the court upheld a lower court's ruling that Showgirl's owner, BBL Inc., began construction on the property, violating the City of Angola's building permit requirements.

In August of 2012, Alva Butler, the owner of the company, filed suit after he bought a restaurant building on North Wayne Street to convert it for adult entertainment.

Butler claimed the city changed building and zoning codes after he purchased the property.
