FedEx to Build New D.C. in New Haven

FedEx has announced that it will spend $25 million dollars to build a state-of-the-art regional distribution center in New Haven. 

According to the Journal-Gazette, FedEx is asking Allen County officials for a 1.5 million tax break over a five-year period.  

The new facility would be built on a 40 acres site on Lincoln Highway East, just west of 469.  

FedEx would hire 87 new, part-time employees. for positions that would generally pay between 11 & 12 per hour.  

Those already working for FedEx in New Haven would move to the new building.  Construction is set to begin on May 1st.
