Fire leaves two homes destroyed in Angola

ANGOLA. Ind. (WOWO) – A car and two homes were destroyed by a fire in Angola on Saturday night.

It started around 8:38 p.m. when the Angola Fire Department was dispatched to the 800 block of Stevens Street on a report of a car fire.  The fire was upgraded to a double house fire shortly before firefighters arrived.  The original car fire had started in the garage of one of the homes.

Firefighters had the blaze under control in just over a half hour.  Both residences suffered heavy damage and no injuries were reported.

Several surrounding fire departments and police departments assisted with the fire.  The cause fire remains under investigation.
