Firefighter injured after early morning fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a fire alarm at the 900 block of Woodland Plaza around 4:38 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Upon arrival, firefighters found a fire on a counter inside of a business that had extended to the attic area. A firefighter was injured while working inside the structure.

Firefighters had the fire under control in just over an hour. The building suffered moderate damage.  Nobody was in the building at the time of the fire.  The fire remains under investigation.
