INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ State officials estimate that about 10,000 Indiana homeowners will get help in making their mortgage payments under an expansion of a federally funded foreclosure prevention program.
 
  Lt. Gov. Sue Ellspermann announced Wednesday that eligibility was being expanded for the Indiana’s Hardest Hit Fund program that has received $221 million in federal funding.
 
  The program started offering mortgage assistance to unemployed Indiana residents in 2011. The expansion will extend help to people who can’t afford their house payments for reasons such an involuntary and substantial loss of income, large medical expenses and military service.
 
  People receiving up to $30,000 in assistance will have to complete a financial literacy course.
