Former Top Utility Regulator Must Stand Trial

The State Court of Appeals ruled yesterday that David Hardy, who was fired back in 2010 amid an ethics scandal, will be facing 4 felony charges in Marion County Court. He’s accused of having secret meetings with the folks from Duke Energy about the massive 3.3 billion dollar cost overrun by the Edwardsport Power Plant. He is also accused of helping the top lawyer for the agency get a job with the power company while he was still working for the agency.
