Fort Wayne Budget

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne’s proposed 2026 budget keeps the focus on safety and infrastructure, even with fewer tax dollars rolling in.

The city plans to use $8.8 million in reserves to plug gaps caused by Senate Bill 1 tax changes.

Leaders say Fort Wayne remains financially strong and the budget also invests in tech and community programs.

City Council gets the full pitch October 7.
