Fort Wayne Homeless Shelter Collaboration

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Fort Wayne is seeking nonprofit partners to operate a new Homeless Services Center.

The site will include a 24/7 low-barrier shelter and a safe parking area for people living in vehicles.

City leaders are still working to secure a location.

Nonprofits have until December 5 to submit proposals.

A Q&A session will be held October 21 at 2 p.m. at Citizens Square. More info is available at Engage.CityofFortWayne.org.
