FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – An investigation is underway after a home caught fire in northeast Fort Wayne.
It happened Friday night, shortly after 9 p.m. Reports say the home, located in the 3600 block of Saint Joe Center Road, had flames coming out of its windows.
The Fort Wayne Fire Department was able to have the fire under control within 20 minutes.
Reports say the homeowner was asleep when the fire began, but he woke up and was able to escape without injuries.
He was treated on scene for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire has not yet been identified and is still under investigation at this time.
