Fort Wayne Travelers Now Have Convenient Way to Apply for Expedited Screening

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Due to the local success of the program, the TSA has opened a permanent site for its TSA Pre✓® Application Program. The Fort Wayne International Airport tested a mobile enrollment site at the airport in May, estimating that 150 people would sign up for the program during a one-week period, however, almost 650 people enrolled.

TSA Pre✓® is an expedited screening program that allows travelers to leave on their shoes, light outerwear and belt, keep their laptop in its case and keep 3-1-1 compliant liquids/gels bag in a carry-on bag.

U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents will now be able to go through a pre-enrollment process online at www.TSA.gov, make an appointment and complete their enrollment at the application center on Bluffton Road to verify their identity, present documentation to confirm their citizenship/immigration status and provide fingerprints.
