FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Average retail gasoline prices in Fort Wayne have risen 15.8 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.38 per gallon Sunday. This compares with the national average that has increased 6.1 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.28 per gallon.

With crude oil prices rallying over the past 6 weeks, reaching the highest point that drivers have seen since November, experts with GasBuddy say we should expect wholesale and retail gasoline prices to rise further. The good news for consumers is that, even with the recent increases in the price at the pump, on average drivers are still paying about 45 cents less per gallon this year versus last.
