Fort Wayne’s Imani Baptist Temple church sign was vandalized

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A downtown Fort Wayne church’s sign was vandalized this week.

The Rev. Bill McGill of Imani Baptist Temple noticed the vandalized sign after Wednesday evening prayers at the temple, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

Someone wrote “666” on the sign. “666” is the number associated with the devil or “the mark of the beast,” according to Christian theology.

The Rev. McGill is an outspoken community activist and says “the sign my be defaced but our witness cannot be erased.”
