Foul Play Not Suspected Over Body at Trash Site

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP): Authorities say foul play isn't suspected in the death of a 63-year-old man whose body was found amid trash delivered to a central Indiana city facility.

Investigators believe Elvin Miracle of Bunker Hill was intoxicated and might have fallen asleep inside a trash container. A worker spotted Miracle's body on Thursday at Kokomo's trash transfer station, where city garbage trucks dump out their loads.

Coroner Jay Price tells the Kokomo Tribune that Miracle's fatal injuries possibly came from being crushed by the trash truck's compactor. Price says the death was an unfortunate accident.
