Four hurt in Saturday evening crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Four people were injured, one critically, after a two-vehicle collision that happened Saturday evening in Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne police and EMS crews were called to the intersection of Barr and Wiebke Streets just past 6pm. Witnesses say one of the vehicles, which had been northbound on Barr, was driving very fast and didn’t stop for a stop sign at the intersection, slamming into the other vehicle, which had been eastbound on Wiebke.

When crews arrived they found four adult victims at the scene. Also, one of the vehicles was on fire. One of the victims is in critical condition at an area hospital, but the three others are in good condition. None of their names have been released.

Police did make it clear that alcohol was not a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation by both Fort Wayne police and the Allen County Prosecutor’s office.
