Four Injured in Lacrosse Grain Elevator Explosion

LACROSSE, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities in northern Indiana are investigating a grain elevator explosion that injured four people.
 
The LaPorte County Sheriff's Department told WSBT-TV one person was flown to a hospital with burns, but no one sustained life-threatening injuries. The explosion occurred shortly before 9 a.m. CDT in the town of La Crosse, about 40 miles southwest of South Bend.
 
A grain elevator standing about 175-feet tall sustained severe structural damage in the explosion. A person who lives three miles away says he felt the blast at his home.
