Fremont police say parent found nail in child’s candy

FREMONT, Ind. (WOWO): The Fremont Police Department is urging parents to check their children’s candy.

A Fremont firefighter found a nail and thumbtacks inside his children’s candy after they went trick-or-treating in Coldwater, Mich., according to the Fremont Police Department.

There have been no reports of candy being tampered with in the Fremont area. But, police say parents should still check the candy.
