FWPD Officer Suspended

A Fort Wayne police officer has been suspended for excessive force.

Officer James Arnold has given a 30 day unpaid leave. According to the Journal-Gazette, Arnold struck a mentally ill man multiple times on the head, causing a fracture to his jaw.

The report says the man was delusional and uncooperative. Police used squad car video to review the case.
