FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Indiana Fever continue their west coast road trip Wednesday night as they visit the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 10:30 p.m. ET, with pregame coverage beginning at 10:00 p.m. on WOWO 92.3 FM. National television coverage will air on USA Network.

Indiana enters the matchup looking for its first win of the young season after falling to the Dallas Wings, 107-104, in Saturday’s season opener. Despite the loss, the Fever offense showed plenty of firepower behind the trio of Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, and Aliyah Boston, who combined for 73 points.

The Fever continue to monitor injuries early in the season. Lexie Hull returned to action Saturday on a minutes restriction, while Monique Billings remains sidelined as she rehabs an ankle injury suffered during the preseason.

Indiana is expected to start Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell in the backcourt, alongside Sophie Cunningham, Monique Billings, and Aliyah Boston.

The Sparks are also searching for their first victory after dropping their opener to the Las Vegas Aces, 105-78. Kelsey Plum led Los Angeles with 27 points, while Nneka Ogwumike posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds in her return to the Sparks organization.

Both teams struggled defensively in their openers, something Indiana emphasized throughout training camp heading into the season. The Fever will look to improve on that end of the floor as they attempt to leave Los Angeles with a win.

Following Wednesday night’s game, Indiana returns home Friday, May 15, to begin a four-game homestand against the Washington Mystics.
