Governor Pence Joins President Obama in Asking Flags be Lowered Following Nelson Mandela’s Death

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): In going along with President Obama’s proclamation about the death of Nelson Mandela, Governor Mike Pence is directing flags at state facilities across Indiana to be flown at half-staff starting immediately. Flags should stay at half-staff until sunset Monday, December 9th. Governor Pence also asked businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff to pay tribute to this world leader. Governor Pence has also asked flags to be flown at half-staff in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day.
