Governor Pence Statement on Indiana’s Abdul-Rahman Kassig

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Sunday afternoon, Governor Mike Pence issued the following statement regarding Indiana’s Abdul-Rahman Kassig.
 

“Like every Hoosier, I was deeply troubled to learn of claims concerning the fate of Indiana’s Abdul-Rahman Kassig. We have all been inspired by this compassionate and courageous young man since we first learned of his selfless service and abduction. As we await word, I urge every Hoosier to keep this remarkable young man, his loving family, and friends in our most earnest thoughts and prayers.”

Governor Pence also declared an official period of mourning to begin on sunrise Monday and ordered that flags be lowered at state buildings all across Indiana to mark this tragic murder.
