COLUMBIA CITY, Ind. (WOWO): One of a trio of Fort Wayne men who robbed, kidnapped, and raped a woman in Whitley County last year has pleaded guilty.

25-year-old Henry Wright Jr. pleaded guilty Monday morning to rape, kidnapping, and robbery, according to a statement from the Whitley County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Since Wright is a habitual offender, he could be sentenced upwards of 80 years. His sentencing hearing will be May 16th.

Wright and two others, Dennis Thomas, 43, and Camara Benson, 21, allegedly assaulted and kidnapped a woman in December in South Whitley and forced her to drive to Columbia City, where one of the men withdrew money from an ATM using her card while another man sexually assaulted her.

“This was a good resolution to the case”, Prosecutor Matthew Rentschler said in the statement. “We are very pleased for the victim and her family that we were able to achieve this outcome.”

The cases of Thomas and Benson are still pending.
