Highway Worker Injured When Truck Hits Rock

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP): Indiana State Police say a state highway worker suffered a serious leg injury when a truck hit a large rock in southwestern Indiana and sent it flying into his leg.

State police say 48-year-old Michael Chaseteen of Evansville was injured Tuesday as an Indiana Department of Transportation truck was dumping a load of rock along Indiana 62 for a lane improvement project.

A grain truck hit the rock with its tire and the stone bounced into Chaseteen. He was taken to Deaconess Hospital to be treated for a serious leg injury.
