Homeland Security Foundation Awards Grants

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO):  The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation is awarding more than $400,000 in Grants to Local Public Safety Agencies. 
 
Overall there are 112 recipients in 62 counties.  Governor Mike Pence says “This grant money allows our first responders to replace and upgrade equipment vital to daily operations.”

In Allen County, about $3,500 dollars is being sent for a new Defibrillator, and Fort Wayne Fire Department will get around $3,800 dollars for a mask mounted communication unit.

The Indiana Homeland Security Foundation is funded through the purchase of “Secure Indiana” license plates.
