Homeowner Awoken by Barking Dogs to House Fire

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A homeowner was awoken by barking dogs to a fire in her home on Glenwood Avenue, near North Anthony Boulevard early Tuesday morning. The woman and her kids were able to get out of the house unharmed. Fort Wayne firefighters were called to the scene just before 1:15 A.M., and they got the fire under control in less than 20 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the fire was contained to the first floor kitchen area, but the home had considerable smoke damage. The fire is still under investigation.
