Delaware County, Ind. (WOWO) — 39-year-old Ashlee Norton and 40-year-old Samuel Norton were taken into custody at their Eaton home following reports of abandoned pets.

They face felony animal cruelty charges, and Samuel also faces drug possession charges.

Earlier this month, police executed a search warrant and discovered the home lacked heat, power, and visible food and water, with broken windows and damaged furniture.
