Indiana AG Suit Seeks Almost $1 Million From Milford Man

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller is suing a former Warsaw Community Schools maintenance director accused in a kickback scheme.

He's also suing Continental Maintenance Specialties Inc. of Lawrenceburg, KY along with Gregory Schroeder of Milford.

Zoeller is seeking $988,917.57 in the suit filed in Kosciusko County Circuit Court Monday.

Schroeder and CMS owner Brian Stowers have been charged with corrupt business influence, bribery, and theft in an on-going kickback scheme. Schroeder is accused of using WCS funds to purchase an excessive amount of cleaning supplies from CMS. In exchange, Stowers would kick back money to Schroeder in the alleged scheme.

Zoeller calls this case “among the most egregious public corruption situations” he has seen.

Zoeller's suit is a civil suit and is not in conjunction with the criminal charges both men are facing.
