Indiana Amusement Park Plans Hiring 2,200 Workers

SANTA CLAUS, Ind. (AP) – The Holiday World & Splashin' Safari amusement park in southern Indiana is starting work on hiring for some 2,200 seasonal positions.

Park officials say job openings include for ride operators, lifeguards, grounds crew and staffers for admissions, games and food stands.

Most of the positions available are for people who will be at least 16 years old by April. The park in the Spencer County town of Santa Claus is adding Princeton to the communities from which it offers bus service for employees. Other bus service stops include Huntingburg, Newburgh, Boonville, Evansville and Tell City, along with Owensboro, Kentucky. 

The park about 35 miles east of Evansville is scheduled to open April 25, with the water park opening May 13.
