FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Captain Steve Stone will take over the position of Jeremy Tinkel, as Public Information Officer for the Allen County Sheriff's Department.

The department didn't release why Captain Stone will take Tinkel's position, but officer Griffith will remain as the backup PIO.

Tinkel served as Allen County's PIO for the last three years.
