Indiana Conservation Officers Conducting Death Investigation at Lake Michigan

LAKE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating the death of 30-year-old Bobby Wilson.

Wilson of East Chicago was pronounced dead earlier this afternoon after officers responded to a call of an unresponsive man on Lake Michigan near the Hammond Marina last night. 

According to police, Wilson was driving a personal watercraft on Lake Michigan when he and his passenger were thrown into the water. Wilson was struggling to stay afloat and fell unconscious.

An Autopsy was conducted this morning at the Lake County Coroner’s Office. Preliminary findings indicate that Wilson died as result from drowning with complications due to existing medical conditions. It is believed that he may have suffered from a Heart Attack during the incident.
