INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — State health officials say another 11 people have died from flu-related illnesses, bring the state's total death toll for the current flu season to 30.

The Indianapolis Star reports that state health officials say nearly two-thirds of the state's deaths have occurred in people ages 25 to 64. Those 19 deaths aren't the typical demographic for those hit hardest by the flu.

Most of those who've fallen ill this flu season have had the H1N1 strain of the virus.

That strain, more commonly known as swine flu, is the same one that caused a pandemic in 2009 when it was a new form of the illness.

Health officials say it's not too late for Indiana residents to get flu vaccinations since the flu season can last until April.
